Project plan template with a Gantt chart

A work breakdown with phases, milestones and dependencies and a weekly Gantt chart that redraws when dates change. The file uses the Etapero import layout.

Excel, 10 KB. No macros, no sign-up.

What is inside

  • The “Plan” sheet: code, title, type, owner, start, finish, work days, predecessors, status and progress.
  • A sample project of five phases with milestones; dates follow the Russian production calendar, holidays skipped.
  • Sixteen weekly columns with Gantt bars; milestones are orange.
  • An “Instructions” sheet with the steps to load it into Etapero.

How to use it

  1. Replace the sample with your own phases and work. The code sets the row’s place: 1 is a phase, 1.1 a piece of work inside it.
  2. Type is Phase, Work package, Task, Milestone or Goal. Dates are DD.MM.YYYY.
  3. List predecessor codes separated by semicolons; finish-to-start is assumed.
  4. Set cell K1 to the Monday the project starts — the week headers and bars move on their own.

How it looks in Etapero

In Etapero: Structure → Import → “Upload an Excel or CSV file”, the “Plan” sheet, “By the row numbers of a column”. Etapero skips the week columns. After the upload it recalculates dates from dependencies and the calendar, finds the critical path, and a baseline is one click away.
