RACI responsibility matrix template
Who does the work, who answers for the result, who is consulted and who is informed — with a check that every row has exactly one accountable person.
Excel, 10 KB. No macros, no sign-up.
What is inside
- The “RACI” sheet: deliverables or work in rows and six roles in columns.
- A “Check” column: exactly one A and at least one R in every row.
- Rows with a problem turn red, correct ones green.
- An “Instructions” sheet.
How to use it
- List the project’s deliverables or major work in the rows.
- Rename the roles in the headers to fit your team.
- Fill in the letters: R — does the work, A — answers for the result, C — consulted, I — informed.
- Fix the rows the Check column marks red.
